Privacy Policy

Outlux collects very little, and this page says exactly what. It covers outluxtravel.com and the services we offer through it, including The Dispatch newsletter and Outlux Escapes. If you have a question about anything here, write to info@outluxtravel.com.

What we collect, and why

The Dispatch. When you subscribe, we keep your email address so we can send you the newsletter. The list is held by MailerLite, our email provider. We record whether an email was opened or a link clicked, which MailerLite reports to us. We do not sell, rent, or share the list, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.

Contact. If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we keep your name, email address, and message for as long as we need them to reply and to keep a record of the correspondence.

Outlux Escapes. Planning sessions are booked through Cal.com, which collects your name, email address, and payment details under its own privacy policy; we do not see your full card number. If you commission a trip, we collect what we need to plan and book it: names of travellers, contact details, travel dates, preferences, and, where a hotel or supplier requires it, dates of birth or passport details. We share this only with the hotels and suppliers we book on your behalf and with our host agency, Fora Travel, through which reservations are placed. We do not name clients publicly.

Site statistics. The site is hosted on WordPress.com and uses its built-in statistics (Jetpack Stats) to count visits and see which pages are read. This gives us aggregate numbers, not profiles of individual readers. We do not run advertising, retargeting, or third-party tracking pixels.

Cookies

The site sets only the cookies WordPress.com needs to serve pages and count visits. There are no advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Who we share data with

Only the providers that make the site and its services work: WordPress.com (hosting and statistics), MailerLite (newsletter), Cal.com (planning-session bookings and payment), and, for Escapes clients, the hotels and suppliers we book and our host agency. Each processes data under its own policy. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We never sell personal data.

How long we keep it

Newsletter details until you unsubscribe. Correspondence for as long as it is useful to the conversation, then deleted. Escapes booking records for as long as we need them to support your trip and to meet tax and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. You can unsubscribe from The Dispatch at any time using the link in any email. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the California Consumer Privacy Act; we honour those requests too. Email info@outluxtravel.com and we will respond within thirty days.

International readers

Our providers store data on servers that may be outside your country, including in the United States. By using the site or subscribing, you accept that transfer, which our providers protect under their standard contractual safeguards.

Children

The site and its services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting subscribers will be announced in The Dispatch.
